LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James he is widely thought to be one of the best athletes of all time. He is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James has won four NBA championships and four NBA MVP awards and four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is the holder of the highest number of points scored in the post-season, second best all-time score, and the 7th most career assists. Alongside being an NBA All-Star, James was selected for an NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. The third highest amount of NBA Finals ever was ten and eight of them were consecutive between 2011-2018. In 2021 James was selected to be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first player of NBA history to accumulate 10,000 points or more in a career rebounds and assists. James played at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he lived his entire life. National media touted James as a possible NBA superstar. In preparation for his professional career his dream, the Cleveland Cavaliers chose him as the first pick overall during the NBA draft in 2003. He was voted as the NBA player of the year for 2004. He soon became one of the top athletes of the NBA, winning an NBA MVP Award in as of 2009 and in 2010. James failed to win an award in Cleveland and left the city with the status of"a "free agent" in the year 2010. This decision was made during the television special The Decision.
