Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born on the 14th of March 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became the U.S.'s only female gymnast to win 4 gold medals. She also won the world championship for all-around, three times in succession (2013-15). Biles as well as her younger sister Adria were conceived by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston region) and grew up in the Houston area. Simone was first drawn to the sport of gymnastics when she was just 6. Her coach Aimee Borman invited her to Bannon's Gymnastix, where they went to a field trip. Biles has won gold and bronze medals at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 in floor and vault before making her debut in 2011 with the elite category of competition. She dominated her sport just two years later. Biles's consistency, her exuberant character and her high level of challenge during her four eventsvault uneven bars balance beam floor workout and floor exercises -- helped to set her out from the rest of the athletes.
