Dua lipa, a British performer/singer born on 22 August 1995 in London. She decided to sign to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model. She launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album reached the third spot within the U.K. albums chart and was awash with eight singles. This included The U.K. top-ten single New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa won The Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act. Her album was certified platinum throughout the world. Future Nostalgia Lipa released her second studio record in 2020. She was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Her family tree can be traced back to Kosovo cities of Peja. Lipa's grandparents were both historians. Her sisters are Rina and Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father who was the guitar player and lead singer of the Kosovan rock group Oda. In the family, her father would continue to play music including his original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five. In the teen years, she began singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa recorded If I Ain't You You from Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. In the year 2014 Lipa was signed to a contract for her record label Warner Bros. Records. The singer released her debut single New Love in August of 2015.
